Waseca Area Community Shares Holiday Warmth in the Sixteenth iWealth Holiday Food Baskets & Backpacks Drive

Waseca, MN – December 4, 2025 – A cherished tradition that began more than a decade and a half ago to support local families during the Christmas season has once again brought the Waseca Area community together in a powerful display of generosity and neighborly care. The iWealth Foundation is honored to announce a heartwarming collective contribution of $13,195 has been made to the Waseca Area Neighborhood Service Center (WANSC) this year in support of the iWealth Holiday Food Baskets and Backpacks program.

Brad Connors, Chief Executive Officer of iWealth, expressed his gratitude, saying, “Each year, we are humbled by how our clients, business partners, and friends come together with our iWealth team to care for Waseca area families. It’s about more than a meal — it’s about gathering around the table, sharing hope, and reminding one another that no one is alone during the holidays. We are deeply thankful for every person who supported our iWealth Holiday Food Baskets program in 2025, as well as those who have given so generously over the past 16 years.”

This year’s total donation of $13,195 includes a matching contribution from the iWealth Foundation, which allocates one percent of its net profits annually to philanthropic efforts. In addition, the dedicated team members at iWealth once again made personal contributions to help lift the final total, reflecting their shared commitment to serving local families.

“The Waseca Area Neighborhood Service Center is so thankful for the continued support that iWealth has provided for the iWealth Holiday Food Baskets and Backpack program for 16 years,” shared Cindy Kolander, Executive Director at the Waseca Area Neighborhood Service Center. “These programs are essential in providing food support to families during the Christmas holiday and to students throughout the school year. The kindness of this community shines especially bright at this time of year, and we hope to continue this partnership for many years to come.”

In mid-December, students from Waseca High School and committed volunteers will gather to assemble the Holiday Food Baskets, filling each box with ingredients for a festive Christmas meal. With the invaluable assistance of Scouts BSA Troop 85, the baskets will be distributed to families across the Waseca area. This year’s donated funds will provide Christmas meals for more than 230 local families, ensuring that tables are full and hearts are warm during the holiday season. Remaining funds will enhance the WANSC Backpack Program, a crucial initiative that supplies food to hundreds of local children on a weekly basis.

This year’s Holiday Food Baskets Drive saw contributions from dozens of clients, business partners, and team members of iWealth, marking an inspiring sixteenth consecutive year of sponsorship. Since its inception, the iWealth Holiday Food Baskets Drive has resulted in cumulative donations now well over $140,000, a testament to the ongoing kindness, compassion, and generosity of everyone who has participated in the program.
